How To Choose the Right Logo Maker for You?

Since you’re here, you’ve probably been through the scenario where you’ve discussed with a designer how long it would take to create a business logo. And how much it would cost.

Of course, the good news is that you don’t necessarily need to hire a designer to have a good logo for your company. You can make it on your own and in no time.

But then you start a google search and see a ton of logo makers online. Now the question is: how to choose the best website to create a logo? The good news is, we’ve done this work for you and found the best logo design sites out there.

To help you out, we’ve established a list of factors you’d do well to consider. Following them and picking the best choice for you will be no problem.

Are you on a tight budget? Or are you wondering how to create a logo for free? In this case, you might want to turn your attention toward Canva, which offers a quite sufficient free version. Not to mention you can practically design everything with it. Canva can also give you extra value providing you purchase a package and the pricing is quite affordable.

Alternatively, from the best free software for logo design, Shopify Hatchful offers splendid features and can be relied upon to create very good logos. Finally, there’s Wix Logo Maker — a tool that can be used for free, and the paid packages aren’t overpriced. In both cases, you can totally have fun with the user interface while creating your free web logo.

Time is our most valuable asset. So along with money, time is the most important factor you need to consider. That way, you can choose the most suitable logo maker for your needs.

The best logo design site that could save you a lot of time can be Ucraft, which offers good basic options that allow you to create a pretty logo, and fast. The software is extremely easy to use, plus it’s free (or $7 for a vector file, which is totally worth it).

Another top logo designer would be Logaster — this option is ideal to save time and give you good ideas about how your logo can look. Finally, there’s LogoFactory Web, which even with its flaws is an extremely helpful tool for those looking to create a logo for free, fast, and easy. It’s practically not possible to create a logo quicker.

The third important factor to evaluate before choosing the perfect fit for your logo needs is, of course, the website logo designs. Saving your time and money won’t really mean that much if you end up with a logo that looks like something from a bad LSD trip.

If you’re serious about design, then you should focus your attention on specific platforms. When it comes to visuals, one of the best logo design websites is PlaceIt. It offers stunning visuals and many different design options — that nevertheless comes at a very affordable price.

Then, there’s Online Logo Makerwhich has great designs and powerful features at a good price, not to mention it’s very easy to use it.

Finally, another good website to create logos is GraphicSprings — a tool that can be quite handy when it comes to designing the perfect logo of your brand. It’s extremely easy to use, but you definitely have to invest money to get the maximum out of the software. It will be worth it though.

How We Found The Top Online Logo Maker?

  1. I created my own beverage brand for testing purposes. This way I was able to measure how the different tools allow me to achieve my goal to create an awesome logo for this specific industry. After all, the best logo design website should offer pre-made solutions for various niches.
  2. I set out with the goal to create the perfect symbol of my brand and ultimately, find the best logo creator. I also tested multiple additional brand logos in different niches to see if the software is suitable for different kinds of ideas and logos.
  3. I tested more than 25 online makers. Then shortened the list to 11, cutting out those that were subpar. Some of them didn’t offer enough options, others were ridiculously overpriced and just not worth it.
  4. Some had very bad user-written logo design reviews regarding payments and unfulfilled promises. You can still view the ones that didn’t make the list this time, but still had something to offer, in the ‘honorable mentions’ section.
  5. I read dozens of online reviews from customers. I tried to comprehend in-depth what people liked, why they enjoyed using the particular software, and what made them unhappy about it. I observed whether companies listened to what their clients complained about? Did they make any changes or correct any mistakes they might have made?
  6. I put myself in the shoes of startups, freelancers, as well as small and big businesses. I established which top logo design websites will get the job done for each of their use cases — and in the most cost-effective and quick way.
  7. I also considered how much each software may offer for different situations. For example, it’s 99% certain that you’ll need social media resized images, regardless of whether you’re a corporation or are just starting your business.
  8. I compared the value-for-money factor. Are you getting your money’s worth paying for a logo making tool? For the tools that are free, I evaluated whether they can do a good job — what can they offer, compared to the paid logo creation software plans?
  9. included some of the tools in the honorable mentions section. They weren’t good enough to make our actual list this time, but any of them could be the best online logo design service for you. Plus, the more options and information you as a reader get, the better.

Detailed Reviews

Best for: Customization options.

1. Canva

Rich customization options

Multiple design formats

Creative freedom

Canva is really the one tool to do it all. Apart from professional logo design, you can also make posters, flyers, infographics, brochures, wallpapers, book covers, menus, social media banners, letterheads, newsletters — you can practically design anything.

Canva amazes with its wide range of features, too. First of all, you can adjust your image with multiple filters, and effects like the background remover. You can also change the level of brightness, contrast, saturation, blur, tint, x-process, and vignette. You can play around with the transparency level and resize your image. To top it all, you can get numerous website design logo ideas from Canva’s library.

Still, if you want a free high-resolution logo, Canva’s free version isn’t your best choice. The logos are limited to 500×500 pixels and don’t have a transparent background. That said, if you want these limitations gone, you’ll have to opt for the paid plan.

On the bright side, there’s also plenty to choose from in terms of fonts and you have the bonus option of uploading even more of your own. Ultimately, Canva can provide the best logo design online, but you’ll have to put in some muscle to create it.

The software is valuable for those who also want to create different branding materials beyond the logo. You can easily make a poster, Facebook cover, brochures, business cards, infographics — the list goes on.

Canva is an excellent way to save time and money for multiple different tools. It does such a good job that even professional designers can benefit from it. In fact, I bet a lot of designers out there use Canva.

Ease of Use

It may take you a bit of time to get to know all the options and features of Canva. This doesn’t mean that it’s confusing or hard to learn. Actually, it’s just the opposite.

Considering the wealth of features at your disposal, Canva has managed to create a surprisingly user-friendly interface.

Once you spend some time and learn to navigate around the interface, you’ll quickly realize just why Canva is one of the best online logo makers out there.

Canva provides 24-hour support from Monday to Friday and limited support on weekends. The company offers both phone, and email support. And there’s also a large enough knowledge base in the Support section.

A support representative of Canva did eventually reply to my queries, after a couple of days’ delay. It’s not ideal, but it happens. While I thought the free version didn’t offer any support at all, it turns out it does, so kudos to Canva for that.

  • Free
  • Pro — $9.95/month/user ($119.40 billed yearly)
  • Enterprise — $30/month/user ($360 billed yearly)

Apart from Canva’s free version, the vendor offers Pro and Enterprise plans. The Pro plan is labeled as the best value one, recommended for small teams and individuals.

Still, the Pro plan does have its limitations.

On the flip side, you have many more options in terms of access to elements, backgrounds, and photos. That said, there are still some features that need to be purchased separately.

The good news is that you can get a free trial for any of the premium plans and decide which will be most suitable for your needs.

2. PlaceIt

Flexible pricing

Good price for value

Unique designs

PlaceIt is one of the best logo designers online with its 8,000+ unique logo templates. Yeah, let that number sink in for a minute. The possibilities are practically unlimited. You can do whatever you have in mind for your logo and a lot of things you haven’t even thought of.

The Mockups, Designs, Videos, and Gaming options meanwhile let you put your logo on anything. T-shirts, mugs, twitch banners, animated logos, pillows, books — you name it. Ultimately, you can use the tool as a YouTube logo maker, among all other possible options.

It’s important to note that once you purchase a package, all the designs you make come with a watermark. This way, you can use them in any way you like, including selling them to customers.

Placeit prides itself on its vast quantity of templates you can put to good use. With this software, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel to get a high-quality design. The templates are battle-tested, and designed by professionals who obviously put their heart into creating unique designs with their own personalities.

Having this large selection at your disposal, you can pick the template that best fits the vibe of your business. You can then further customize it with the app’s brilliant editor.

The end result is a logo that has both the professionalism of the designer behind it, plus your own individual interpretation. By investing just an hour of your time into this process, your logo can look professional, and yet still be unique.

Astonishing designs, really! I can’t stress enough how awesome the designs are. That’s the main goal either way. The flexibility of pricing is also a key takeaway point, as it’s quite unique for software of this type.

So not only does PlaceIt offer great visuals, but they’re quite affordable too. The only way it could be better is if it was a free product. That said, once you see the end results, chances are you’ll see it as money well spent.

Ease of Use

Not only is this logo making tool easy to use, it’s also a lot of fun. The only problem could be that with so many beautiful designs, choosing just one can become a burden. But hey, look at you and your first world problems.

PlaceIt offers phone and email support, and chat, too. Thumbs up for them — they are one of the few companies in the niche that try to maintain all three. The support working hours are Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM CT.

Their representative was polite and knowledgeable in answering my questions. He even provided me with a link for a 25% discount for the first month for their unlimited package.

While I had good customer support experiences, there are a lot of negative cases out there. People claim that the support of the company was very bad in resolving their issues, and some even believe that their email was subject to immense spam after subscribing to PlaceIt.

  • $14.95/month
  • $99.95/year
  • $39.95 — single logo purchase

PlaceIt is really flexible in terms of pricing. It’s a custom logo maker, and one of the few I’ve encountered that offer a monthly subscription. That has you covered, regardless of whether you just need to use the service for a couple of months or want to pay on a monthly basis from a financial perspective.

The yearly subscription still has better value, though. It will save you a lot of money in the long run — when you break it down, it’s just $8.33 a month. You need to pay upfront for the year, naturally, but the price could easily be worth your while.

On top of that, you can pay for a one-time service, in case you decide you just need that single logo and nothing more. Paying for one month seems way more logical, though, but still — it’s a cool option to have.

And that logo will be provided to you in a high-resolution .png file (4000x4000px). With that level of detail, it’s already okay to use it for commercial purposes.

It’s important to note that the subscriptions also grant you access to the other services of PlaceIt — Mockups, Designs, and Videos.

3. Looka

AI-generated logos

Easy to use

Branding add-ons

Why waste time looking for a designer, when you can use Looka? This online logo maker offers fast, cheap, and unique designs. The secret to it is artificial intelligence!

Yes, the company uses AI to simulate the design process. To start off, just select the type of industry your business belongs to. Then, you can browse through existing logo designs. Pick a handful, and the system will use them as inspiration to create yours.

Once you’ve made your picks, you can proceed to color and symbol selections. Not a lot to choose from, but that’s not really a bad thing. The options are narrowed down to a good few, and all are usable.

The last step before customization is to simply provide your company name and slogan.

After that, you can choose one AI-generated business logo from the variations. Then, you can make adjustments to the layout, palette, text, symbols, backgrounds, and more.

Everything here is system-generated, so it’s quite limiting if you’re into detailed, hands-on editing. But if you’re a non-designer, this won’t be a problem!

Looka offers custom-made designs, not pre-made ones. They are tailor-made based on user preferences. This way, you can be sure that no other logo will look the same as yours.

Another advantage is this – when you scroll down the customization area, you’ll see a bunch of mockups with your business logo design. It’s a good way to see how your logo looks on branding materials.

Speaking of that, you also have the option to get the Brand Kit. Here, you get hundreds of branded templates for posters, business cards, flyers, and more. So, you don’t just get to design a logo. For an extra fee, you can prepare your entire business launch on the same platform!

Ease of Use

Making logos on this program is quick and simple. Within minutes, the logo generator can whip up a unique design for you. It’s not a surprise, considering it uses AI. You can just enter the required information on the fields. Then, the system will rely on its algorithms to provide designs that match your preferences. Overall, it’s very user-friendly.

When you need help with your logo design, you can use the Live Chat feature to get technical help. But don’t get your hopes up – it’s not always available. You’ll have to wait until a representative is online to answer your queries.

The better option – maximize the Lifetime Support, which comes with the Premium subscription. It’s much easier to reach the team via phone or email.

Looka isn’t a free logo maker. But, you can still test as many designs as you like, free of charge. Just pay when you’re ready to download and use your logo!

For this, there are three one-time payment packages to choose from:

  • Basic – $20, includes one PNG file
  • Premium – $65, includes high-res PNG, SVG, PDF files and color variations
  • Enterprise – $80, includes all premium features and Social Media Kit

Now, if you want access to the Brand Kit, there’s a separate payment scheme you can consider. Here are your options:

  • Basic – $59.88/yr, includes high-res logo, posters, and flyers
  • Premium – 95.88/yr, includes high-res logo and 300+ branding materials

The great advantage here is that all plans come with unlimited post-purchase changes. You design your own logo, but if you want to add revisions, you’re free to do so!

4. Logaster

Automated AI logo design

Very easy to use

Good support

Except for the logo creation, Logaster also provides the options to make an email signature, avatars for social media platforms, a favicon, business cards, and more.

Bear in mind, that you’ll need to pay, to gain the full advantage of the tool, since the free version of the product is a bit lackluster, mainly due to the editing options.

Logaster clients have created over 11 million logos with the tool and you can actually get to see them in the blog section of the site. That’s not only good advertising on their part, it’s also practical since you can use it to get inspired for your own brand symbol.

Using Logaster will save you a lot of time and energy. You don’t have a good idea? Not sure how you want your logo to look? Nothing to fear.

The AI-powered logo generator is capable of directly creating dozens and dozens of great designs in a matter of seconds. You can choose one of them and then additionally edit and customize it to get the logo you like.

You can, of course, create an entirely different logo of your own. Even then, though, those generated designs sure helped to get you inspired, didn’t they?

Ease of Use

It’s very easy to get started with Logaster and create your own logo, even if you’re a complete beginner. You simply type in the name of your brand and the software’s AI generates templates for you. Of course, you then have the option to edit the template you liked the most.

Still, the editing options are a bit run-of-the-mill, at least for the free version. It’s true you get to select a design category, including music, abstract, industrial, fashion, and so on, as well as color gammas, but ultimately there’s not that much to customize onwards.

When we turn our attention toward customer reviews, there’s a recurring complaint that the website loading speed is slow. That’s something I experienced myself, at times. Generally, though, the majority of user reviews are excellent.

Logaster’s support was very quick to reply — just two hours after I sent them an email. The average response time is 24 hours, though. For the moment, the company only offers support via email.

  • XS — $10.79
  • S — $26.99
  • M — $34.55

There is a free version of Logaster, as well as three paid plans — strangely named XS, S, and M. A bigger “L” plan also seems to be on the cards, but for the moment it’s labeled as ‘coming soon’. If you’re a business, you’ll probably need at least the S plan, though, with XS only providing one logo file.

The S plan offers the full logo package with 120 files available for download. Those include vector files (PDF, SVG), logo layouts, and background & color variations.

The M plan has all the features of the S, plus a logo pack focused on social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)

8. Shopify Hatchful

Absolutely free

Branding packages

Attractive interface

At the top of our list is the best free logo creator – Shopify Hatchful. In addition to the logo itself, it gives you the option to download various other formats of the newly-created image. The different formats are customized for specific social media accounts. These include your Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest profiles.

This is an absolutely satisfying branding package that saves you the trouble of resizing and fitting your logo for the different profiles afterward. While not a unique feature for this software, it’s still worth mentioning. Also, let’s not forget that it’s free.

On top of all that, you have hundreds of free templates, designed and customized with different industries in mind. It won’t be an overstatement to say that this software was designed with user experience in mind.

In fact, it will probably make you doubt whether you’ll ever need the services of a professional designer again. After all, if you can get the best logo design online for free, why searching for a paid service, right?

The only thing that was truly disappointing was that you can’t have two icons in one logo for some reason. I, for one, had a genius idea for a pub logo that included two icons. Alas, I guess I won’t be opening my two-logo pub now. Either that or I’ll use another tool that can provide that option.

Hatchful is really straightforward and saves you a ton of time. It’s never been easier to create a logo for free — the final design can be just a few clicks away.

And the best part is — the tool is absolutely free. This way, it will save you both time and cash. So, easy, beautiful, and free, all the essentials are covered.

Ease of Use

Trust me, it’s extremely easy to get started with Shopify Hatchful. The interface is very eye-pleasing and makes the process of creating a logo effortless and fun. Without even realizing it, you’ll already have tons of designs to choose from in front of you.

It was a little hard to find a way to contact the support. I had to Google it, spend a couple of minutes wondering where to find the info, and eventually sent a message via a contact form.

Hatchful clarified that the address for contacting their support was [email protected], although no such details were clearly provided on their website. Generally, that’s not a good sign.

Regardless, support was surprisingly quick. Their representative was knowledgeable and provided a lot of information to answer my questions. You can only contact them via email, though, so no chatting or phone calls for now.

Shopify Hatchful is absolutely free to use. There are no premium plans with extra features available at the moment. It’s safe to say that Shopify Hatchful is one of the best free online logo makers in 2022.

9. DesignEvo

Lots of free templates

No experience needed

DesignEvo is proof that anyone can create their own logo, and have fun while doing it! It’s one of the best online logo makers developed by pro designers, for non-designers.

The web-based editor offers a massive template library filled with over 10,000 tailor-made logos. There’s one for every industry – Food, Art, Business, Fashion, Tech, etc.

You can just click a category and a basketful of logo variations are there for the taking!

But what truly makes it stand out is its custom logo maker. Once you pick a template, you can add your own flair to it. You can modify the text, add your tagline, adjust the sizing, and play with the color scheme.

If you want more artistic control, there’s a “Start From Scratch” option that gives you a blank canvas. In this section, you get thousands of icons, shapes, and fonts to work with. The only limit is that you don’t get to upload your own illustrations.

But it’s a good thing you can export your logos in PNG or SVG formats, which is great if you intend to add extra edits using another software.

Compared to other free logo design software, DesignEvo offers the biggest number of usable templates online. It has a rich library, and the logos actually look like they were custom-made rather than something you would typically see off the Internet. Quality-wise, it checks all the boxes.

You can also access it from literally anywhere! You can make a logo on your desktop, mobile, or web browser. Although I’d preferably use the desktop or web versions against the mobile applications, just for better functionality.

Ease of Use

Clueless about how to make logos? You won’t have any issues with this app. A quick signup and you’re ready to go. All tools have a one-click setting, and the main workspace supports drag-n-drop customizations. It’s also a cloud-based software, so saving, accessing, and storing your work is way easier.

Props to DesignEvo’s customer support – they’re very responsive! The Live Chat option is the most convenient way to seek help on anything. It’s active 24/7, with zero waiting time. I tried asking about logo formats, and I got the response I needed within seconds.

If you have major concerns, though, you can only get in touch with them by submitting an email ticket.

Good news – you can use DesignEvo to create a logo for free! All features unlocked, plus you can export as many designs as you like. However, you can only download them at a standard 300-pixel resolution PNG file. That’s pretty low, especially if you plan to use it on prints and large materials.

Upgrading to the paid plans will give you more privileges. Consider these:

  • Basic – $24.99 one-time fee. Includes 5000 px resolution and transparent background
  • Plus – $49.99 one-time free. Includes all Basic features plus SVG format

The free version does come with some restrictions, but feature-wise, it’s still up there with the top-rated logo makers. If you’re a small business owner who’s never dabbled in graphic design before, this tool is for you!

10. LogoType Maker

Good support

Affordable pricing

High-value premium plan

LogoType Maker provides you with the option of using your logo to create a business card or an email signature. Also, you can get social media images and an embed code to insert your logo to your site.

Keep in mind that all these features aren’t free. You need to purchase the premium package to get them.

Then, if you want to edit your logo, the options are nothing to write home about. That said, there are a lot of fonts to choose from, as well as in-depth choices regarding the colors in your logo icon. Another cool feature is the opacity slider and inner shadow switcher.

Ultimately, it will take you some time to customize your logo and finish the overall design.

Taking the value-for-money factor under consideration, this tool is one of the best inexpensive logo makers. You can easily create and obtain the files you need.

That’s particularly true if you go for the premium plan which will grant you the whole social media kit, as well as vector files, business card designs and so on. And to be honest, it’s not that pricey, so it could turn out to be just what you’ve been looking for this whole time.

Ease of Use

Using the tool looks quite easy at first glance. You insert your brand name and the logo generator proposes multiple versions you can choose from. Customizing your logo afterward is a bit trickier, though.

If you really want to create your perfect logo, you’ll have to spend some time editing here and there. That can be a bit time-consuming, especially if you’re a beginner. So you would do well to arm yourself with some patience and a nice cup of coffee before starting the process.

LogoType Maker provides live chat, as well as email support. Their representative was quick and clear in answering my questions. Nothing much to say here except — good job, keep it up.

  • Basic — $2.19/month, $26.28/billed yearly
  • Premium — $5.48/month, $65.76/billed yearly

Keep in mind that you need to pay for your subscription upfront on an annual basis. There isn’t an option for monthly payments currently. And, unfortunately, there is no free version of the software at the moment.

The basic plan provides you with both jpg and png files. With the premium plan, you get all the features, including vector files, favicon, business card designs, embed code, social media kit.

11. DesignMantic

Clean UI

Good customization options

Logo generator

DesignMantic is a website dedicated to design. They provide website design, logo design, custom design, and other services, including wedding card designs, monogram designs, social header designs and more.

The features of DesignMantic’s logo maker are also numerous. There are business card designs, letterheads, envelopes, Facebook and Twitter cover designs, T-shirt designs, flyer designs, creating an email signature and so on.

Additionally, the company offers website design templates. In the ‘search logo’ section of their website, you can browse through a cool gallery of already designed logos. And the designs are divided by category, which makes it even easier if you’re looking for inspiration.

We are talking about great logo designs here! DesignMantic provides them in spades. Sure, it comes at a price, but you can get your money’s worth, especially if you also want some of the other services they offer like website design.

Even if that’s not the case, and just need a logo – nothing more, the price of the basic plan is affordable enough.

Ease of Use

Creating your own logo with DesignMantic is simple and easy. The generator gives you a plethora of logo designs. And the options to select from are still plenty, ensuring that you can customize your logo to your heart’s content.

The simplicity of the interface is intact, mind you. You kind of get that cozy feeling as if you were sketching designs on an old notebook. Except your hand will not be colored by ink once you’re done.

DesignMantic offers both phone and email support. They provide that support from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM EST. So, I sent them an email through the contact form on their website. Several hours later, I received an email asking me to provide my phone number. That way, they would be able to call me and answer my queries.

Let’s get this straight, I’m not the type of person who enjoys talking on the phone. I’m sure plenty of people feel the same way. Others have a yet different reason not to want to talk over the phone.

And, of course, since their phone number is listed on the site, I would have called them, if I wanted phone support.

Anyway, I had to reply to the email and explain that I would prefer to conduct the conversation by email. I then eventually received an email answer to my questions but lost a couple of precious hours in the meantime.

The answers themselves were one-liners, and there was an image file attached to the email with some kind of a spring promo bundle they’re offering right now. Along with the promise, I would get a discount for whatever package I wanted. Smells like a sales-driven approach to me and those are always annoying.

  • Basic — $37

13. Kreateable

Ready-made logos

Various use cases

Simple payment scheme

Kreateable is a fast and easy logo designer that allows you to create for free. The price comes after you’ve picked and edited a design, which is a simple one-off payment.

But before you spend your cash, the site lets you access its massive library of ready-made logos. These are fully-packaged designs that are easily customizable! You can choose, edit, and save as many logos as you like.

To start “kreating”, you have to provide your business name and slogan. Then, you can browse through the design catalog filled with a bunch of logo options. You can also specify your industry to get more appropriate styles.

The logos are classified into different categories for easier searches. You’ll find business logo designs for various use cases, such as:

  • Food and Beverage
  • Finance
  • Construction
  • Education
  • Medical

And so much more!

The library has 3 million icons and graphics, plus over 1000 font styles. So, finding a design you like won’t take long. We did see a few options appear in multiple categories, however. Same exact design, just with a different business name.

But even so, the designs we’ve seen on this online logo maker are still miles better compared to those on other free sites.

Kreateable’s templates are excellent in terms of quantity and quality. As we’ve mentioned, there are millions of logo ideas available. Business owners and startups won’t have to pay an expensive artist to get professional-looking logos

Almost all designs are stunning and workable. They don’t look too generic either, which is the case for most free logo makers today.

The “Logo Ideas” section also gives users instant access to classified options. With this, you won’t have to start from scratch to create your own logo.

Ease of Use

Non-designers won’t have a hard time customizing the templates. You get a dedicated workstation to modify the logo draft. You’re free to change the text, colors, icons, and font styles. You can also throw in a few shapes and badges.

Although the tools aren’t as detailed as those in graphic design software, they are very easy to use. There’s a Reset button that clears your artboard, but it would’ve been nicer to see an Undo button as well.

Kreateable offers two ways to get technical support – live chat and email tickets. Both are operated by human representatives. And while we appreciate this move, unfortunately, the live chat feature isn’t always available. The logo maker team is online between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST Monday to Friday only.

You can submit an email ticket anytime, but you’ll have to wait 12 hours before getting a response.

Kreatable lets you access and edit logo templates without any fees. It’s not a totally free logo maker, however. When you’re done creating a logo, you have to pay a one-off fee – $49 per logo.

After purchase, you’ll be able to download your logo in PNG, PDF, EPS, and SVG files. You also get multiple variants of the same logo. It comes in various sizes as well – optimized for different platforms and use cases. The price is a little steep, but with these inclusions, you still get your money’s worth.

Honorable Mentions

It’s not easy picking only 11 of all them online logo creator tools. That’s why we decided to include a few honorable mentions. These tools are not bad by any means, they just didn’t make the list. Next time we update the article, some of them might replace one of the logo makers currently in the list. If you want to be on top, you need to demonstrate constant perfection, after all.

This tool offers a very good company logo generator, which can create unique designs based on preferences for icon or text-based logo, fonts, and so on. The software tries its best to get information from you about your preferences. Things like what the logo should be based on and what type of forms and shapes you want for the design.

The generated designs are good. However, while you do have some editing options afterward, you kind of get the feeling that somehow your logo is already there and there’s not that much left to fine-tune.

Of course, if you’re looking for a tool that does most of the work for you, then TailorBrands is a good solution.

One of the main benefits of TailorBrands is that their packages are flexible — you can subscribe on a monthly or yearly basis and the prices are acceptable.

The company also displays logo ideas divided by category on the site. That’s a cool feature to get you inspired and give you ideas for your specific business niche.

To be honest, Brandmark is a pretty cool tool. However, the pricing is too high on this one as well. There’s no free version, and the basic package, which only provides a png logo, is $25. On top of that, the enterprise package, offering high-end features like vector logos, business cards, social media kits, etc. is $175.

I mean, you can buy a package in two or three different logo makers with that budget. Even though I must clarify these prices are a one-time fee, rather than a monthly subscription.

Brandmark also offers a designer package worth $65. It gives you the social media kit, branded business card templates, brand guidelines, logo source files, and more.

The software’s features are not something extraordinary either. You enter the name of your brand, then enter keywords related to your niche, like food, drinks, etc. if you have a restaurant. Then the logo generator creates an array of designs.

After choosing your favorite, the options to edit and customize it are quite limited. You have a good color scheme selection menu, but otherwise, you end up with the feeling there’s not that much you can do.

The company has other tools, too — an AI color wheel (automatic colors for your designs), logo rank (upload your logo and see how it rates), logo crunch (create a multi-resolution logo), and font generator (ideas for font pairings).

In terms of use, Brandmark is quite easy and won’t end up spending more than a couple of minutes to design your logo. Still, ultimately, the tool doesn’t provide the best user experience, nor your money’s worth. Naturally, it will still help you create your own logo, but there are better options out there.

Hipster Logo Generator

The name says it all, doesn’t it? If not, let me tell you — the tool has very basic options. In the beginning, you select a shape from a total of five available.

Then you have some bare-bone customization options like choosing a color or setting the width of the basic shape. In the end, you can download your logo for free or pay $5 for the png file.

To sum it up, if you want a free or cheap logo for your… uh, hipster barbershop or something, you might benefit from this platform. Otherwise, there are many more professional tools out there to create your business logo design on.

I must say that I had some problems with the site since a white screen popped up several times while I was experimenting with the tool. To sum it up, Hipster Logo Generator is probably more of a waste of time, rather than an efficient tool to design a logo for your business.

First of all, it’s a bit of a headache to navigate through the logo maker — that’s surely not a good sign for such a tool. Otherwise, Fotor Logo Maker is a bit like Canva, having both free and premium options to choose from.

The similarities between the two software end here, though. Fotor is way pushier towards selling, as you have at least four different ‘upgrade now’ buttons on the page. The free options are quite limited, although you can still manage to use the free logo templates to create a good result.

It has to be said the tool provides some vivid and creative customization options, but if you really want to use the full capacity you would have to purchase their package.

The pricing would be $39.99 if you pay for a year and $8.99 per month should you opt for a monthly subscription.

Fotor also has other services on their site like the collage maker and photo editor, so it may be worth it. However, we’re sticking to the logo makers for this list and at the of the day, Fotor is not among the best websites to create a logo right now.

Do you want to have a couple of hundred different icons for cacti or koalas? If yes, LogoMakr has you covered. Now, joking aside, LogoMakr has a really great palette of icons, even if most of them are quite basic.

You can make both simple logo design and a more advanced one, as well, but you’ll need to invest some of your time to do so. The good news is the company has good educational tutorials to help you figure out some cool logo ideas.

Once you’re done, you have the option to download your free logo at low resolution or pay the $19 the company wants, which will give you access to high-resolution vector files, web-based png and jpg files, full license, prints, 1,000 zoom quality, and a social icon creator.

Bear in mind this is the price just for this one logo. Of course, the company provides discounts for the purchase of a plan with more logos — 4 logos for $12 each, 9 logos for $10 each, 20 logos for $7 each.

In case you’ve decided you’re not up for the task of creating your own logo, the vendor also offers services like logo redesign and custom logo design. All in all, LogoMakr may not be the top logo maker at the moment, but the company does provide good service.

Logo Garden

Logo Garden is a good tool for simple logo design. It has limited options, but still may get the job done for you. Let me demonstrate what I mean by saying it’s limiting. Imagine you’re starting your very own small, beer brewery.

You get into the tool, set up everything else, but then realize they have no beer or keg icons to select. And somehow it won’t be the same if you have a teapot as a logo.

On the flip side, Logo Garden has some decent features such as creating business card designs and prints. The company further offers the possibility to make a professional logo design for you (I reckon the brewery logo could work then).

That said, Logo Garden couldn’t make the list this time. It’s just not that good. Hopefully, the company will continue developing and improve its features. They’ll need a big impact, as the logo maker scene is already overloaded with many worthy choices.

The tool provides 406 pages of designs, although they’re the same whatever name you enter for your business. You get the feeling it’s somewhat generic. The tool is quite limited, despite the vast number of pre-made designs. The editing options are scarce, despite a good collection of icons you can add.

Keep in mind that these are not free logo designs we’re talking about. LogoCrisp has three paid plans, with the deluxe, worth $34, seeming the best choice. For $19, the business plan provides high-resolution files and your logo in png and jpg format.

We gotta hand it to them, though, they offer a very tempting subscription option — for $0.99 a month you can download up to 20 deluxe logos.

In conclusion, the tool is easy to use and can be relied upon to deliver a quick logo with efficiency. Still, LogoCrisp have a long way ahead of them to become one of the top logo design companies. The final verdict is: not that impressive, has room to improve.

It’s a decent logo making tool, even if it’s not among the best rated logo makers. The LogoDrill creation process starts with you inputting your company name. Then, you get to select your industry and boy, does the software has a variety here. From cupcakes, through wrestling and watch shop, and game development, it seems like all industries are covered.

After your select your industry, you get to choose from the relevant icons. There may be one or more in disposal depending on the popularity of your niche. The AI logo generator then comes up with some pretty cool designs.

On the downside, the editing options afterward aren’t that remarkable. Now, LogoDrill does not have a free version of their product, but the pricing is fairly adequate.

The three packages cost $2, $5, and $9 respectively. With the lowest value package, you only get one logo file, while the $9-package, or enterprise, gives you access to multi high-resolution files, brand guidelines, full ownership, font pair, photo pack, and a 1-hour discussion with the professional designer of LogoDrill.

So, we’re pretty much finished with our reviews of the leading logo makers for 2022. We’ve established the best free logo maker options and how to choose the ultimate tool for your needs.

Of course, we will continue to monitor and test the software on the list, and the ones currently not in it.

But hey!

Since you’ve reached this point, you’ve already learned how to create your own logo. Well done!

But we live in an ever-so-dynamic world and things can easily change in a matter of days, weeks, and months. Heck, maybe soon you will be the one teaching people how to create a business logo of their own.

The truth is it’s not that simple to create a stunning logo design from the first try. Some of you will need more time and most probably — more knowledge. But as Salvador Dali says, we should never fear perfection, as we’ll never reach it.

That’s why we’ve committed ourselves to keep you updated on the topic. Feel free to always come back to the page and double-check for updates in our list of the best logo makers or refresh what you already know.

Which is the best logo design company?

Here are the best logo design sites we’ve established after thorough research and testing:

What is the best free logo maker?

There’s a couple of very good candidates for this title. Those include Shopify Hatchful, Canva, Ucraft, Wix Logo Maker and LogoFactory Web. If those names don’t ring a bell, scroll up and read the reviews for each of them. This way, you’ll figure out which one has the highest chance of working out for you.

How can I make my own logo for free?

There are multiple software options available that allow you to create a professional design for free. The best among them are Shopify Hatchful, Canva, and Ucraft. Online Logo Maker, LogoFactory Web, and Wix Logo Maker also offer an efficient free version.

How do I create a legit logo?

There are several key factors you need to consider before you create a good-looking, professional logo design. You need to think about how you want to represent your brand so that people get the right impression when they see your logo. Carefully choose the colors and fonts, and don’t forget to keep it simple.

What is a vector image?

A vector graphic (ai, eps, svg file) is made up of points, lines, and curves. Rather than consisting of solid colored square pixels, vector files are based upon mathematical equations. A good logo should always have a vector format.

What are the best logos?

The best logos are instantly recognizable and easy to associate your product with. The saying that sometimes less is more is absolutely valid for logos. All you need to symbolize your brand is a minimalistic, yet effective design. Just look at the logos of top companies worldwide like Nike, Microsoft, and McDonald’s.

Also, to avoid logo fails, show your work to people before branding your product. There are enough logo disasters out there as it is.
