If yours is among the lucky countries that now have Disney Plus, you’re probably brimming with anticipation to watch your favorite show.

But maybe, just maybe, the streaming platfrom shows its content in a language you don’t understand. Or maybe Disney Plus is stuck in Spanish (more on that later).

To be honest, most of the time you won’t encounter this issue.

But just in case, here’s how to change language on Disney Plus.

How to Change Language on Disney Plus

It is surprisingly easy. On desktop or browser, you have to:

  • Log in to Disney Plus with your credentials. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it (and should probably get a password manager).
  • Go to Profile on the top right corner.
  • Navigate to Edit Profiles.
  • Select the profile from which you are watching.
  • Scroll down to App Language and select your preferred option.

Then all you have to do is click on Done.

This won’t just affect a particular movie, however - we’ll cover that later. By using this method, you’re changing the platforms’ interface.

Here’s how to do it from the app via a mobile device:

How to Change the Language on Your Disney Plus App

You can change the langugage on your Disney Plus app in quite a similar fashion.

Click on your profile on the bottom right and then choose Edit Profiles. After that, choose one and navigate to App Language. Tap on the fitting option, then on Done.

See? Easy.

The Disney+ app will save your settings to your profile, so the next time you start watching a video, it’ll be in your preferred language.

You can have up to seven profiles under one subscription. Disney Plus allows different languages to be set for each one.

This trick works for Roku, Apple, Fire and smart TVs.

How to Change Language on a Particular Movie on Disney Plus

Okay, we covered the general steps.

But let’s say you want to watch a particular movie in Espanõl.

Here’s how to watch a Disney Plus movie in Spanish (or whichever language, you’re the boss):

  • Choose a titile.
  • Within the video player, click the CC/Subtitles icon in the top right corner.
  • Go to the Audio section.
  • Make sure your preferred option is supported - not all of them will be.
  • If it is, tap on it.

If you’re wondering why we chose Spanish:

A while ago, there was a weird Disney Plus language glitch - some users woke up to the Spanish version of the platform.

Here’s what else you can choose from:

Disney Plus Language Options

By default, the platform automatically reverts to whichever language your device uses

But that doesn’t mean your hands are tied. You can change the Disney Plus language from the settings. Choose from the following options:

  • English (US and UK)
  • Dansk
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Frеnch
  • Italian
  • Dutch
  • Norwegian
  • Portuguese
  • Finnish
  • Swedish

Currently, you can enjoy all Disney classics, plus fan-favorites from the Marvel Universe, and the new Star Wars content.

Wrap Up

We’ve all grown up with Disney movies - I bet you know at least three songs from the soundtracks by heart.

Thing is, listening to them in another language can be disturbing. Luckily, you now know how to change the language on Disney Plus.

No need to learn Gaston’s song all over again!

You’re welcome.
