Apple TV users reported on the 26th that they could no longer watch videos and streams from the social media platform.
Clips and streams are a huge deal on Facebook – the social media outlet gets 8 billion video views daily.
However, the company’s tvOS app has been displaying a “no longer available” message. What’s confusing is that it is still available on the App Store and even features a new icon.
Users have been sharing their disappointment across various platforms.
Facebook launched the Watch app for Apple TV back in 2017. It’s also available on Samsung TV and numerous other TVs and consoles.
Recently, however, more and more developers seem to ignore the tvOS. This is one of the possible reasons behind the Watch app issue.
Another one is a recent update, which might have caused a glitch. Facebook still has AppleTV listed as a supported platform.
Both companies are yet to make a statement.

Teodora devoted her whole life to words – reading, writing and trying to be original on social media. She got certified in digital marketing but still feels she’s not cool enough to be an influencer. (We all disagree – she influences the team pretty well.) She finished a master’s degree focused in Literature, Publishing, Mass Media. Her hobbies include traveling, and reading. Teddy hopes that yoga will be the thing to finally teach her some patience and show her the path toward world domination. Maybe modern tech can also help her with that.
