Capcom will give you a free hour to play Resident Evil Village on May 1. Both games, Castle and Village, will be on the shelves by May 7, but the company is determined to give its fans a sneak peek.

If you play on Xbox Series XJS, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Stadia, and Steam, you’re welcome to play.

For 24 hours, you’ll be able to access the demo during the following timings:

  • Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) — 8 PM on May 1 to 8 PM on May 2
  • Pacific Daylight Time (PTD) — 5 PM on May 1 to 5 PM on May 2

You can play as many times as you please within the 60-minute threshold.

If you’re a PS5 and PS4 player, you’re in luck because you’ll have a total of 8 hours for both Castle and Village. The demos will be available to you starting April 17, and you’ll also have 30-minute access before anyone else.

PlayStation owners will get two time slots — Eastern Time from 8 PM on April 17 to 8 PM on April 18, on Village. The company will dedicate the other slot to Castle, available between 8 PM on April 24 ET to 8 PM on April 25 ET.

Regarding Xbox, Stadia, and Steam players, you guys get a chance to play the new Resident Evil on May 1st.

Capcom hopes the free access will give fanatics enough time to decide if they’ll purchase the games when the full version launches on May 7, 2021.

So gamers, get your gamepads, keyboards, headsets, and related accessories ready as most of you will have dibs on the games starting today: April 17!
