The feature will enhance the visual quality of streamed games and will be widely available in 2022.

Improved Visual Quality

Microsoft has paired up its cloud gaming service xCloud with the Edge browser to deliver a high-quality experience to users.

Yesterday, the company announced one of the latest optimizations - Clarity boost, available for Microsoft Edge Canary. The new feature uses a set of client-side scaling improvements to take visual quality to the next level.

Interested parties can download the Edge Canary Channel even now from the Microsoft website. After that step is complete, they should navigate to edge://settings/help and check the browser version - it should be 96.0.1033.0 or later.

If all is well, users can go to www.xbox.com/play, start a game, then open the more actions (…) menu and enable Clarity boost.

About Xbox Cloud Gaming

The so-called xCloud is available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. It is currently launched in 25 regions, with Brazil coming soon.

The service enables users to discover and try different titles right from the cloud before they choose which to download. In addition, it will let them play next-gen games on the Xbox One console they already own.

The cloud game library is expected to expand in the following year.
