League of Legends’ Arcane Series Gets a Release Date
Updated · Feb 21, 2022
Fans can enjoy the first act of the series on the 6th of November, on Netflix.
Trailer and Premiere
The animated series will premiere in three acts, with three episodes each.
The first one will be available on the streaming platform on the 6th of November, following the League of Legends 2021 World Championship Finals.
Fans will be able to watch the second act on the 13th of November and the final, third one - on the 20th of the same month.
Netflix also released the official trailer.
It focuses on sisters Vi (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’s Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Army of the Dead's Ella Purnell). They are both Champions in League of Legends.
The series will feature other fan-favorites, too - including Jayce (Arrow’s Kevin Alejandro), Caitlyn (Harry Potter’s Katie Leung), and Viktor (Brave New World’s Harry Lloyd).
Viewers can also see glimpses of the rivaling cities Piltover and Zaun. They share a location, but while Piltover is thriving on the upper level, Zaun gets pushed down. Thanks to Hextech (fusion of magic and technology), however, there is a noticeable shift in balance.
League of Legends’ Arcane is a co-production between Riot Games and Netflix. Fortiche Productions, the studio behind several League of Legends cinematics, is in charge of animation.
Teodora devoted her whole life to words – reading, writing and trying to be original on social media. She got certified in digital marketing but still feels she’s not cool enough to be an influencer. (We all disagree – she influences the team pretty well.) She finished a master’s degree focused in Literature, Publishing, Mass Media. Her hobbies include traveling, and reading. Teddy hopes that yoga will be the thing to finally teach her some patience and show her the path toward world domination. Maybe modern tech can also help her with that.
