On Sunday, Mojang Studios announced that Minecraft Legends is coming in 2023.

Minecraft Legends

During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Mojang Studios unveiled that its best-seller will expand even further. Minecraft will branch off into a brand new spin-off strategy game taking place in the original’s universe.

The new Minecraft Legends will give players a chance to lead their allies in battles and try to defend the Overworld.

So far, the company revealed that the spin-off will arrive on PC and Xbox sometime in 2023. However, it’s still unknown whether or not the game will also be available on PlayStation.

Fans already got to see a brief gameplay video showing a character riding a horse and leading his army of minions into battle. It appears that the player is relying on magic to build the outer wall of a giant fortress.

So far, Minecraft enthusiasts could loot and do survival builds in the original game, as well as crawl dungeons and fight giant monsters in already-existing spin-offs.

Mojang Studios unveiled very little on Sunday, but it said it’ll have more news on the game to share soon.
