In a June 25th, 2021 blog post, Telegram announced that users can now turn on the camera or share their screen with a group while on voice chat. The service will be available on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
30 Participants Only
Audio-only group calls allow an unlimited number of users to interact. However, video group calling will let a threshold of up to 30 people turn on the video option.
The good news – the company said it would raise the limit soon, as its user base continues to rise through live events, streaming, etc.
Members will be able to pin videos to inform those joining in about the subject matter. In addition, people will be able to share screens.
Another great feature – Noise Suppression – will cancel background noise to keep audios clear.
The computer and tablet side panels will also have split-screen view optimization. The video grid will show the list of participants and will display both landscape and portrait orientation.
Videos will open in a separate window on desktops, and users will broadcast individual programs.
Aside from group videos, Telegram also has animations. Additionally, the app will allow the sending of said animations and the algorithmic generation of multicolor wallpaper.
Larger companies with over 30 team members, however, should consider using other web conferencing software options.
