What Is Maximizer CRM?

Maximizer CRM is a customer relationship management software that suits organizations of any size.

The program has been on the market for more than 30 years. Over 120,000 small and medium-sized businesses and more than a million individuals use its tools. Its headquarters are in Vancouver, Canada, and it also has offices in England and Australia.

You have the option to use Maximizer CRM on-premise or its cloud-based version. There are also mobile app versions for Android and iOS.

It’s a feature-rich sales and marketing solution to increase sales, build relationships, and provide customer support

The platform’s most common users are in the insurance, finance, education, distribution, and manufacturing industries.

Maximizer CRM Features

The platform offers various handy features that help optimize sales processes and enhance marketing initiatives. They can also improve your customer service to boost productivity and revenue.

Let’s get to the gist.

Lead Management

This feature lets you organize your leads from different sources and see which ones need immediate attention. There’s also an option to add notes and capture valuable information from phone calls. If your leads have potential, you can convert them to opportunities.

sales pipeline management

Sales Pipeline Management

Sales pipeline management is among Maximizer CRM’s most advanced features. When you convert your leads into opportunities, there’s an option to build a pipeline and prioritize them by stage, deal size, and other factors. You can also customize your pipeline stages to your sales process. This way, you’ll know which action to take next to boost consistency and productivity. You can build different pipelines for different customers and use as many stages as you need.

With personalized dashboard displays of critical pipeline indicators, you can achieve insights into what works and what doesn’t to close more deals. It shows weighted forecasts, progress to quota, and the status of opportunities at each pipeline stage.

With this, your sales reps will know everything they need to do to close the sale before picking up the phone.

Customer service

This feature provides everything you need for world-class customer support. Maximizer CRM is monitoring the status of your clients’ customer service cases. You can quickly escalate, ask your colleagues for help, and stay on top of things to drive repeated revenue. Moreover, there’s an option to track response time and see where cases are getting stuck.

Action Plans

This feature lets you create a Maximizer CRM action plan and prepare for an important meeting. This way, you don’t have to remember all the little details and risk forgetting something.

Once you set a date, you can send a reminder to all meeting participants. If you’ve synchronized the Maximizer CRM app to your Outlook account, this appointment will also show on their calendars.

Workflow Automation

Workflow automation is powered by KnowlegdeSync and is an add-on product that’ll cost you extra. You need to contact customer support to get it.

The tool is capable of:

  • Automating repeatable, step-by-step processes and improving productivity
  • Identifying tasks that require immediate or overdue attention
  • Improving efficiency and consistency with basic task automation
  • Providing everyone with the up-to-date notifications necessary to work smarter.

Workflow automation helps you gain a competitive edge by automating your critical business processes. It enables you to streamline operations and reduce manual work for your frontline staff.

Marketing

Maximizer CRM offers a set of marketing features like:

  • Campaign management
  • Campaign monitoring and alerts
  • Email marketing (with tracking and anti-spam functionality)
  • Email templates (with merge fields)
  • List management and segmentation
  • Web forms.

Campaign management helps you track customer behavior with analytics and alerts. You can flag unassigned leads and opportunities and activate automated follow-ups on emails and events.

Maximizer CRM email marketing lets you acquire new leads and nurture existing ones with re-usable campaign templates, web-to-lead forms, alerts, and more. Moreover, you can schedule an announcement or a multi-phrase drip campaign and ensure follow-up throughout the sales cycle.

You also get branded emails and the option to personalize your messaging with signatures and custom fields.

Reports and Analytics

CRM reporting takes data from your key sales metrics and turns it into an actionable resource. It helps salespeople and businesses track goals, create or improve effective strategies, and identify problems.

You can use automated reporting and interactive Maximizer CRM templates. There’s also an option to set up a re-usable template with any number of hand-picked KPIs. It can save your favorite searches and integrate them into dashboards and reports. You can also export data into Excel templates.

Security

Maximizer CRM knows that security is crucial for this type of software. It has partnered with Pivotree to host its customers’ live data in its Canadian Tier IV data centers.

Pivotree collaborates with Amazon Web Services and has acquired numerous certifications for security and IT infrastructure management. Some of them include:

  • AT-101 SOC-2
  • ISO 27001
  • ITIL
  • PCI Compliant
  • VISA PCI Certified

When you log into Maximizer CRM Live, your connection is secured with 256-bit SSL encryption with a 4096-bit public key. All databases are firewall-protected and have an anti-virus monitoring service to protect them from viruses and malware.

Your access to Maximizer CRM Live is protected with an SSL-encrypted password to prevent unauthorized access.

Maximizer Mobile CRM

This app lets you get some work done while on the go. You can access it through a mobile web browser or download it for iOS and Android.

It lets you view your calendar, track your pipeline, update important information, and stay connected to your team.

Integrations

Maximizer CRM has integrations with 11 third-party apps to synchronize your CRM and the other tools your business uses daily.

Some of them include:

  • Mailchimp
  • Outlook
  • Google Drive
  • Gmail
  • Twilio
  • QuoteWerks
  • Bing Maps

You can also use Zapier to connect to over 500 applications. If you need a specific integration, contact customer support, and they can build it for you.

If that’s not enough, you can always take matters into your own hands and use the Maximizer CRM API to build your own add-on.

Ease of Use and Interface

I experimented with the program firsthand to check if it’s user-friendly.

Its interface looks a little dated compared to other CRM software. It may be confusing at first glance due to the myriad of actions you can perform. As a result, the software has a bit of a learning curve.

However, Maximizer tries to make things easier with video demonstrations and online training. The two buttons below are present in each window to give you quick access to explanations and tutorials.

ease of use and interface

The main tools on the dashboard are:

  • Calendar
  • Address book
  • Hotlist
  • Opportunities
  • Customer service
  • App directory
  • Insights

dashboard

Maximizer CRM offers customization to your preferences on how to view and share your data. You can even select how the program presents itself the next time you open it.

Customer Support

Maximizer CRM customer support is available during business hours through the following channels:

  • Chat
  • Email
  • Phone

A customer support agent contacted me via email when I requested access to the free trial version.

The rep offered a discovery call to better understand my business requirements and present a demo. They were friendly, and all replies were fast – within one to two hours.

The majority of user-written Maximizer CRM reviews share the same positive experience.

Pricing

The software doesn’t provide a free version or a money-back guarantee but offers a free demo and trial. The trial is 30 days long and requires no credit card details

Maximizer CRM’s pricing is structured per user and month, but all plans are billed annually. Payment is also available in CAD, AUD, GBP, ZAR, and EUR.

Let’s take a closer look:

Small office

$35

Includes basic features like customizable dashboards, standard reports, opportunity and pipeline management, call logging, etc.

Business

$55

You get everything in Small office, plus: advanced support, territory management, marketing campaign tracking, enhanced security features, and 10GB of storage space.

Professional

$100

Everything above, but also: advanced analytics and reports, custom data widgets, customizable sales process, unlimited storage, etc.

The Small office plan is limited to one user only, while the two higher versions have no seat maximum.

Maximizer CRM vs Salesforce CRM

This wouldn’t be a complete Maximizer CRM review if I didn’t compare it to one of its most popular alternatives.

Both platforms suit small and medium-sized businesses and divisions of large organizations. Their deployment is also the same.

Salesforce integrates seamlessly with third-party apps, while Maximizer CRM only has integrations with 11 apps. If you want to use more, you need to connect to Zapier.

Salesforce offers four different plans, compared to Maximizer’s three. Their starting prices are similar. The former’s minimum price plan is $25, while the latter’s is $35. They both offer 30-day free trials.

However, moving up to the higher plans shows Maximizer CRM to be the cheaper solution. Its subsequent two versions cost between $25 and $50 less than those of Salesforce.

The main features of Maximizer CRM are lead management, sales pipeline management, reports and analytics, action plans, and workflow automation.

Salesforce CRM, on the other hand, specializes in contact and task management, workflow creation, and opportunity tracking. It also offers collaboration and customer engagement tools and analytics.

Overall, Salesforce tends to be the more feature-rich platform.

Which one do I recommend?

They’re both viable solutions. It all depends on the workflow you want to create, the price you’re willing to pay, and the features you require.

Maximizer CRM Review – Verdict

Maximizer is a customer relationship management software suitable for small and medium-sized businesses. It provides all the key features to help your business effectively engage with its customers.

As with any software, Maximizer CRM has its pros and cons. However, it manages to balance them quite nicely.

It offers limited integrations, but you can get a lot more functionality through Zapier.

Although there isn’t a money-back guarantee, it provides a 30-day free trial and a demo by a Maximizer representative.

Its basic plan is a bit costly compared to some of its competitors, but the higher you go, the more cost-effective the software gets.

So, do I recommend it?

Maximizer CRM is the right solution if you own a small business and want to expand it. And if you need some time to test it, you can always do it for free.
