Mobicip is an innovative service that works with almost any OS, including iOS, Android, and Blackberry. It will help you manage and monitor all devices in your family through one parent app or web dashboard. Furthermore, you can schedule daily or weekly scans of the device or limit screen time.
Mobicip parental controls run silently and smoothly on all devices. You are not required to root or jailbreak your children’s phones to make it work. Mobicip is easy to set up and use and it is the perfect internet control app to keep your loved ones safe.
Mobicip Monitoring Features
Mobicip has one of the largest selections of supported features. You can monitor numerous device activities by simply opting for one of the available plans to keep your kids safe.
Here’s what else it can do:
Parental Control Internet Filter
If you’re interested in a service that filters your kids’ internet time beyond just URLs and keywords, Mobicip is the right choice. Go for the Mobicip trial to see how this filter controls your children’s online content dynamically and in real-time. That way you will create a safe learning and entertaining environment for your kids.
If your kids love watching videos, you will need to enable the video supervision option. This feature works on all the popular streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, etc. Mobicip can even block YouTube – you can entirely disable this video streaming service on a particular device.
With Mobicip’s location tracker, you can make sure your kids have reached the desired destination and that they are safe at all times. You’ll be able to locate them instantly and precisely thanks to its GPS service. You can use it anytime and anywhere.
Limit Screen Time
This Mobicip supervision tool allows you to control your children’s screen time. You can set daily or weekly limits – the devices will be locked at certain times to prevent further usage. You can set an exact number of minutes during the day when your child is at school to monitor and track your child’s online activity. The devices get unlocked automatically. This feature will allow you to better manage bedtimes and ensure healthier levels of internet time.
With Mobicip you can block a site you deem inappropriate. You can block as many websites as you want.
Manage Apps and Games
Kids are quite tech-savvy, so downloading apps is a piece of cake for them. That’s where managing apps and games on their mobile devices come in handy. For example, Mobicip blocks Facebook – most parents use it exactly for this reason, judging by user-written Mobicip reviews.
The software will also show you the browsing history of your kids. That way you can control website access if you see something that alarms you.
Review Access Requests
Mobicip does not grant permissions if your kids try to go to a restricted website or app. It will also let you know they’re trying to. You can instantly approve or reject access from your own device.
Blocking and Filtering
As we’ve already mentioned, Mobicip can block any apps, games, or websites you deem unfit for your children.
Each child’s device can be set up individually, so you get to choose who won’t have access to Tinder and who – to YouTube. Mobicip offers a list of the available apps that you can block. Android users will get a notification that a specific app has been blocked by Mobicip, while on iOS the app will simply disappear.
It works on websites too – simply enter the URL and you’re all set. Mobicip’s content filtering can handle secure (HTTPS) sites and it is entirely browser independent.
There are three Mobicip filtering levels — mature, moderate, and strict. You can turn on either of them for different results. There is a fourth level, called monitor, as well but it does not actually filter anything – it records online activity.
There are over 30 categories that can be filtered such as alcohol and addiction, chat and forum, dating, gambling, mature and adult, proxies, shopping, social network, and weapons and violence. During our research for this Mobicip review, we enabled each filter – a surprising amount of sites got blocked. You can select one of Mobicip’s age-appropriate control settings if you don’t want to do it manually.
There are content filters specifically for social media. Think Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Tik Tok, YouTube, Netflix, etc. Thanks to the search feature, you can find and block any app in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
We also tested Mobicip extensions to see how filtering and blocking work for browsers. Mobicip successfully integrates with:
- Firefox Focus
Interface and Ease of Use
This is one of the easiest parental control solutions to use. All you need to do is get a Mobicip subscription and start using it right away.
The interface is sleek and intuitive. With one click you can access basically everything in the settings menu. Once you open Mobicip, you see four main sections — activity, family, devices, and messages. The section titles speak for themselves, so you’ll have no trouble navigating the software.
Here’s what Mobicip really needs to work on.
There is only one way of getting in direct contact with the support staff – by the contact form on their website. Once you submit your message, you’ll have to wait for roughly a day for an answer. We got the response in 12 hours, which isn’t too bad.
You can also send an email inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org, but the chances of getting a more prompt answer are higher if you send your inquiry through the website.
Mobicip reviews show that users would like to have a live chat option, or at least a telephone number available, in case of emergencies.
You can also search for answers in the FAQ section on the site or by reading the Mobicip blog. Luckily, both the FAQ and the blog are regularly updated, so you can find solutions to many common issues there.
Mobicip offers a few different plans and charges your subscription differently. If you go through the browser, your subscription will be billed annually and the prices that we will include below are applicable only for your first subscription year. It doesn’t seem likely that Mobicip will introduce a month to month payment for users that purchase the software through their browser.
The plans are:
- Small – $3.99 per month, protects up to five devices.
- Medium – $4.99 per month, protects up to 10 devices. At the time of writing, there are discounts available.
- Large – $9.99 per month, protects a maximum of 20 devices.
The Mobicip free trial is 7 days, available for all plans.
Keep in mind that Federal law requires Mobicip to get verifiable parental consent to access private data of your children as part of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Mobicip can only do this through a verification check with a parent credit card. You will be charged only after the trial is over. You won’t be charged at all if you cancel the subscription during the free trial.
However, if you purchase the software through the Mobicip app, you will be charged monthly along with any in-app purchases. You can pay through your App Store account.
To cancel a subscription purchased as an in-app purchase through an iOS device, contact Apple Support. If you bought it via Mobicip browser services, you’ll have to send an email. Mobicip will cancel the subscription and send you a confirmation email within 24 business hours.
